About the Event

As part of the 2023 edition of the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW), IASC members in collaboration with PHAP are organizing a series of events on how to strengthen accountability to affected populations (AAP) and bring about the Participation Revolution as envisaged by the Grand Bargain. Building on the 2022 HNPW events on AAP and the 2021 event series on AAP, they will address the following topics:

  • Session 1: (17 April 2023, 09:00-10:30 CEST) Every contact counts: Intentional accountability through the programme cycle
  • Session 2: (18 April 2023, 10:00-11:30 CEST) AAP and humanitarian data responsibility
  • Session 3 (18 April 2023, 4:00-15:30 CEST) Leveraging social sciences for community engagement in humanitarian action
  • Session 4 (19 April 2023, 14:00-15:30 CEST) Empowering frontline staff to deliver accountable and locally driven humanitarian assistance
  • Session 5 (20 April 2023, 13:00-14:30 CEST) Launch of the Accountability and Inclusion Helpdesk
  • Session 6 (24 April 2023, 16:00-17:30 CEST) Flipping the system: What will it take for greater accountability to people in crisis?
