Protecting people displaced across borders in the context of disasters, the adverse effects of climate change and environmental degradation.

Disasters, climate change and environmental degradation compel millions of people to leave their homes every year. International cooperation and initiatives to address this issue have increased in recent years. How can we leverage those to adequately protect people displaced across borders in the context of disasters, the adverse effects of climate change and environmental degradation?

What outcomes from the 2021 UNFCCC Climate Conference of the Parties (COP26) should be brought forward for further discussion at the 2022 International Migration Review Forum on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration ? This event proposes to make the link between these two processes.
