The Protection Standby Capacity (ProCap) and Gender Standby Capacity (GenCap) Projects are inter-agency projects established in 2005 and 2007 respectively to strengthen inter-agency gender and protection capacity and leadership in humanitarian operations. The Projects provide strategic and operational support and expertise through the deployment of senior Protection and Gender Advisers (upon request) and provide capacity building on gender and protection.

This webinar aims to inform humanitarian leadership in the field and at global level on how they can avail themselves of this valuable resource, particularly at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic poses new challenges to humanitarian operations and there are increased reports of protection and gender concerns. It will also be an opportunity for Resident/Humanitarian Coordinators (RC/HCs), Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) members as well as other entities at global level who have already had the experience of deployments and other support from the Projects in the past to share their experiences.

The webinar will last for 90 minutes. For help logging on to the webinar, see the login guide here. You can e-mail questions to the Peer-2-Peer project before the webinar or submit them to the presenters live during the webinar, via the chat function. All documents relevant to this webinar and a recording of the event (and previous webinars) are posted on the P2P Support website.

The webinar will be facilitated by Ms. Najat Rochdi, Team Leader & Director of the Peer2Peer Project.

We look forward to seeing you!
