Covid-19 continues to ravage almost all aspects of life. SEJAJAR as a network-of- network, in collaboration with Network for Empowered Aid Response (NEAR), and International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), calls upon all stakeholders to continue to encourage localization and to leverage the response to the pandemic to strengthen future humanitarian systems.

SEJAJAR holds this discussion for stakeholders to:

  • be aware of what has been happening globally with the localisation agenda;
  • review the progress in the Asia Pacific region following the regional conference on localization in Jakarta last August, and
  • compile recommendations about the future direction of localisation in the changing humanitarian landscape and in context of Covid-19
