How CSO Adapts Its Humanitarian Work towards the New Normal Age

Human Initiative (HI) and Humanitarian Forum Indonesia (HFI), with support from Asian Disaster Reduction and Responds Network (ADRRN) and International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), are launching a webinar series (5 webinars) between now and the end of 2020 which aims to a platform for CSOs and CSO networks in Asia and the Pacific to have open discussions on critical themes focused on how CSOs are adapting themselves to address the needs in a COVID-19 era. This Series is a result of close collaboration between national, regional and international organizations.

Five panelists from frontline NGOs as well as NGO networks in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, and the Pacific region will be exchanging their experiences with all the participants around these 4 key questions:

 

  • What does this new normal mean in their own organization context?  (if possible) Does this new normal change our perspectives on implementing agreed upon actions within SFDRR and AADMER?
  • What are the specific challenges in this new normal in humanitarian work?
  • What is the role of CSOs and what specific adjustments do CSOs need to make?
  • What recommendations do you have for colleagues in the region?
