Gender
In Yemen, where conflict and crisis have deeply fractured communities, women-led and women’s rights organizations (WLOs/WROs) are on the frontlines—delivering lifesaving services, advocating for protection, and reaching women and girls in the hardest-to-access areas. Yet, despite their critical role, these organizations face systemic barriers: chronic underfunding, exclusion from decision-making spaces, and a lack of recognition as equal partners in humanitarian response.
ICVA is pleased to co-organise this important discussion with the International Rescue Committee to mark the launch of the new report: “In their own words: how to make funding and partnerships work for women’s organizations delivering Gender-Based Violence services in Yemen”. This webinar is a call to action—a space to re-center the conversation around the leadership, expertise, and solutions of Yemeni WLOs and WROs. It will bring together women’s organizations, national and international NGOs, and donors for a thoughtful and forward-looking dialogue on how to build more equitable partnerships and ensure meaningful participation in humanitarian planning and funding.
Arabic language interpretation will be available.
A policy brief link will be circulated post-event to all registrants, including those unable to attend live.
