ICVA's Global Reach
A significant development for ICVA in 2013 was the establishment of three Regional Hubs in Bangkok, Dakar and Amman. These hubs have enabled ICVA to be closer to its members, NGO networks and humanitarian partners.
Concretely this means being close to country operations, providing on–the-ground information to inform global policy debates, and offering much needed platforms for collective advocacy.
- Develop strong relationships with members and partners and harness their expertise to influence policy debates in the various platforms.
- Reach out to national NGOs and NGO consortiums to support both NGO coordination and NGO representation in international coordination mechanisms
- Are proactive in facilitating NGOs advocacy on humanitarian crisis and issues as required within their regions.
More information about each of the Hubs can be found on the respective regional pages.
We would particularly like to thank Save the Children in Amman, Africa Humanitarian Action (AHA) in Addis, International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Nairobi and Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN) in Bangkok for hosting the ICVA Regional Hubs. Their support to this initiative has been invaluable!
