16th ICVA General Assembly - 10 March 2015

The ICVA General Assembly, held every three years, is the time when ICVA members come together to discuss and agree on a multi year strategy for the network, elect its Board and Chair, and review the work of the past three years. Members will also discuss and vote on amendments to the ICVA Statutes, and consider issues and concerns related to humanitarian action worldwide.


16th General Assembly 2015

The 16th General Assembly took place on Tuesday 10 March in Geneva, Switzerland.  It is a one day General Assembly following the Annual Conference on 9 March 2015.



Participation at the General Assembly is open to member, observer and affiliate organisations onlyMember organisations are entitled and encouraged to send one representative to the General Assembly who has the mandate to take decisions on and vote on behalf of their organisation.

Venue:  The Conference and General Assembly will both be held in the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG), which is readily accessible by public transportation, and is located near the ICVA office.

Agenda: A provisional agenda for the General Assembly is available

Statutes:  The ICVA Statutes sets out the mandate of ICVA and outlines the official rules and regulations that govern ICVA and the General Assembly.  The Statutes may be amended at the 16th General Assembly.

Nominations and Elections: One of the important functions of the General Assembly is to elect the ICVA Board for the subsequent three year period.  The elections are held on the basis of nominations received up to the opening of the General Assembly.  The following are documents relating to the nominations and elections procedures:
